Why do your shows always start at 7 after? (8:07, 3:07)
The Cincinnati Men's Chorus is a unique organization, with a offbeat style of musical entertainment that also changes lives. Our unusual performance time is a reflection that we live and operate "on an angle," to borrow a phrase from "La Cage aux Folles." We're different, proud of it, and people remember it.
When can I join?
CMC presents three regular concerts each seaon. At the beginning of each concert period, the Chorus accepts new singing members.
Do I have to audition?
The Artistic Director and/or the Assistant Director and a section leader will conduct a brief audition (it's painless...really!), testing your vocal ability and range, sight reading ability and tonal memorization.
We occasionally offer vocal techniques classes for those who don't score high at the audition. Successful completion of the class means acceptance for the following concert session. For example, on completion of fall class, singer joins chorus in January.
We are also looking for non-singing members to join our BRAVO Team (that's Branding, Retail and Volunteer Operations). BRAVO team members help out in various tasks, such as mailings, production work, merchandise sales, etc. Why not come and join our family?
