| Dr. Patrick Coyle, Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Mens' Chorus, received the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Conducting at Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music (CCM). He has been staff accompanist, classroom teacher, and conductor at CCM. Dr. Coyle served on the Board of Directors of the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses (GALA Choruses) for four years, including stints as the Board's Secretary, Board Development Chair, and member of the Festival VII and VIII Planning Committees. At Festival VII in Montreal, he produced the Opening Ceremony and conducted the Opening Ceremony mass choir. Dr. Coyle has been active as an orchestral conductor and music director of numerous theatrical productions. He is a published composer of choral, keyboard, handbell, and children's music and has directed many festival and clinic choirs. Previously from South Carolina, Mr. Coyle built one of the largest church music programs in the state and conducted the South Carolina Singing Men and the Myrtle Beach Choral Society. He is currently the Music Director of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He has conducted two series of European Cathedral Choral Concerts in Florence, Assisi, Rome, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, and Prague. |
| | Mr. Winters is a native of Georgia and has been Principal Accompanist for CMC since 1999. Russell received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. He is currently Chief Operations Officer at Tender Mercies, Inc., a non-profit agency providing housing and supportive services to homeless individuals with histories of mental illness. While at CCM, Russell was the recipient of several awards and scholarships, including the Bauer Piano Competition and the Krehbiel Piano Scholarship. He has participated in the Aspen and Southeastern Music Festivals and has appeared as soloist with the Macon Symphony Orchestra. Russell has accompanied numerous community and church choirs and has appeared regionally in solo and chamber music performances. He has studied piano with Frank Weinstock, Paula Peace, John Perry, and Edward Eikner. On a personal note, Russell and his partner Steve live in Wyoming, Ohio, with their three wonderful children Pablo, Dustin, and Desiree, their awesomely clumsy Golden Doodle Toby, and cat Kush. |
| | Interpreter Ruth Rowan brings the music of CMC to the hearing impaired. She has a Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology and a Master's degree in Deaf Education from the University of Cincinnati. She interprets for many well known solo artists and musical groups around the country and teaches hearing handicapped students in the Cincinnati Public Schools. |
