Accentuate the Positive Donations for Caracole

For our Season 31 Spring Concert, Accentuate the Positive, the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus has partnered with Caracole. The CMC has a long history of supporting AIDS service organizations from raising money for and singing at annual AIDS walks, singing at World AIDS Day, caroling at Caracole House, sponsoring the AIDS Memorial Quilt and many others.

Before and after the concert, the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus is holding a personal care item donation drive for Caracole clients. Personal care items, like toothpaste or toilet paper, cannot be purchased with food stamps. With the majority of Caracole’s clients living with less than $15K a year, these donations make a difference to their clients in need. Right now, they need:

  • Toothbrushes
  • Toilet paper
  • Bar soap/body wash
  • Hair care products for African Americans
  • Deodorant (gender neutral, masculine and feminine scents)
  • First aid kit supplies (antibiotic cream/gel, bandages, etc.) and/or mini first aid kits
  • Bags of individually wrapped hard candy

AnyAny personal care items you can donate are greatly appreciated!

About the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus

The Cincinnati Men’s Chorus (CMC) is a voluntary, nonprofit 501(c)(3) community chorus organized to provide the opportunity for individuals identifying as male, whether gay, bisexual, transgender or straight allies to sing together. Our Mission: Through our music we strive for excellence; support and nurture our members; entertain our audiences; and work for justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and harmony between the gay community and the community at large.

The chorus seeks to provide social and fellowship experiences that reach beyond the realm of musical purpose to deepen and enrich our lives. Further, we provide opportunities to present a positive image of the gay community to the general public by being identified as an organization of individuals who are making a contribution to the entire community.
