SPENCER ZEMBRODT received his MM Performance in Orchestral Conducting from the State University of New York at Fredonia and his BM Performance in Percussion from the University of Louisville. He was formerly Assistant Conductor of the Shippensburg Symphony Festival where he assisted on choral-orchestral works and operas, and worked closely with world-class singers. He was also engaged as a guest orchestra and choir conductor and vocal coach for the Universal Artists Festival.
He joins us with broad experience working with singers at community, university, and professional levels, in both choral and operatic settings. Spencer joined CMC as a member of our baritone section and more recently has been our Principal Accompanist.

MARK JOHNSON is a musician by vocation and avocation. He serves as a musician for Gaines United Methodist Church in Madisonville, where he was the minister of music for many years. As an avocation, Mark has sung with the Cincinnati Men's Chorus since its inaugural season and been in one of its small ensembles every year since then.
Mark was in the first class to graduate from Cincinnati's School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where he appeared in musicals and operettas. He then attended Butler University, where he sang and received a bachelor of arts in arts administration. Mark has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Pops, and the May Festival Chorus. He also has appeared with CMC and its small ensembles in Berea, Ky.; Columbus; Dayton; Cleveland; Lexington.; Louisville; and Indianapolis, as well as at choral music festivals in Chicago; Denver; Miami; Minneapolis; Montreal; and San Jose, CA. He is honored to take the podium as CMC's assistant conductor.

DR. DASOM KWON, a native of South Korea, is a sought after pianist and collaborator. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The Ohio State University, where she served as a Graduate Teaching Associate and received the Consecutive GTA Award in recognition of her exceptional teaching and performances. Prior, Dr. Kwon completed dual master’s degrees in piano performance and collaborative piano at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she was honored with the Graduate Assistantship Scholarship and the Artman Straub Scholarship.
Dr. Kwon currently works at Xavier University and Northern Kentucky University as a collaborative pianist. She has previously worked as a pianist and opera coach for the Indianapolis Opera Company; and at the Interlochen Arts Camp, inspiring emerging artists and fostering a love for music. She is delighted to serve as the pianist for the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus.

JEFFREY JOHNSON brings the music of Cincinnati Men’s Chorus to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing through American Sign Language and has been working as an interpreter since 1989. A nationally certified interpreter, Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education-Interpreting from The University of Cincinnati and completed the TDF Interpreting for The Theatre program in NYC. He retired from HCESC as a full-time educational interpreter and currently works as a freelance interpreter.
Jeffrey’s true passion is interpreting for Theatre, Music and Arts, which he has done for the past 25+ years. A few of his favorite shows: Hair; RENT; Tick, Tick… Boom!; Avenue Q; Angels In America; and Corpus Christi. He is excited to continue working with the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus. Jeffrey would like to dedicate each performance to the memory of Alan Champion and Ruth Rowan, interpreters, colleagues, friends.
